Shelving Installation in Dallas
Have any questions? Call or Text Us.
Floating shelves, closet systems, garage shelving and wall-mounted bookshelves, installed level and anchored to hold what you actually put on them. A shelf looks like the simple part of the job. What fails is almost always the anchor behind it.
What We Install
- Floating shelves in living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms
- Closet systems: wire, laminate and kit systems, including IKEA and home-center brands
- Garage shelving, wall tracks and pegboard
- Bracket shelves, wall-mounted bookshelves and media shelving
Why Shelves Sag or Pull Out of the Wall
Most shelving problems we're called to fix trace back to what's holding the shelf up:
- Anchors rated for the shelf, not the load. A plastic drywall anchor might hold an empty shelf. It won't hold a row of books, a stack of dishes or a kid's toy collection for long.
- Missing the studs. Floating shelf brackets and closet tracks are meant to go into framing. When they don't, they slowly pull away from the wall.
- The wrong hardware for the wall. Plaster, tile, brick and concrete each need their own anchors and drilling. Many older Dallas homes still have plaster walls, and drywall hardware doesn't belong in them.
- Not level. A shelf that's a little off is the first thing everyone notices, and on closet tracks it throws off every bracket below it.
We find out what's behind the wall before we drill, and match the hardware to the weight the shelf will carry.
Floating Shelves
Floating shelves look clean because the bracket is hidden, which also means the bracket does all the work. We mount it into studs wherever the layout allows, and use heavy-duty anchors rated for the load where it doesn't. Kitchen and bathroom shelves over tile are drilled carefully so the tile doesn't crack. Tell us what's going on the shelf, whether it's decor, books or dishes, and we'll choose the bracket to match.
Closet and Garage Systems
Closet systems hang from a top track, so the whole system is only as level and solid as that one rail. We set it level and fasten it into the framing before the shelves and rods go on. In the garage, wall tracks, shelving and pegboard need the right anchors for drywall, brick or concrete, and pegboard needs spacers behind it so the hooks seat properly.

Common Questions
How much does shelving installation cost in Dallas?
Shelving installation starts at $120 for labor. The number of shelves, the type of wall and the size of the system set the final price. Send photos of the wall and the shelves and we'll give you a real number before anyone comes out.
How much weight can a floating shelf hold?
It depends on the bracket, the depth of the shelf and what's behind the wall. Fastened into studs with a heavy-duty bracket, a floating shelf can carry books or dishes. On drywall anchors alone, it shouldn't. Tell us what's going on the shelf and we'll pick the hardware to match.
Can you install shelves on plaster, tile or brick?
Yes. Each one needs its own drilling and anchors, and we bring the right hardware for the wall instead of forcing drywall anchors where they won't hold.
Do I need to buy the shelves first?
Either way works. Supply your own shelves, brackets or closet kit, or we can source them and include them in the quote.
